Big Indian Recreation Area
Big Indian Recreation Area
Just southwest of Wymore and 6 miles east of Odell, Big Indian Recreation Area was the first ever NRD-managed Recreation Area. Opened in 1972, for years Big Indian has served as a summer hot spot for many Nebraskans. Renovated and rehabilitated in 2010, Big Indian Lake now features state-of-the-art facilities and one of the area's best fisheries, along with plentiful hunting opportunities in the 233 acres surrounding the lake.
