About NARD
Who We Are
The Nebraska Association of Resources Districts (NARD) is the trade association for Nebraska's 23 Natural Resources Districts. NARD has five full-time employees, and is governed by a 23-member board made up of directors from individual districts.
Our Mission
To assist NRDs in a coordinated effort to accomplish collectively what may not be accomplished individually to conserve, sustain, and improve our natural resources and environment.
A Statewide Commitment
Natural resources issues frequently cross political boundaries. NARD helps the state's Natural Resources Districts approach these issues in a coordinated effort. NARD works hand-in-hand with districts on basinwide issues, such as the Platte River Cooperative Agreement and the Republican River lawsuit with Kansas.
One Voice
By providing governmental representation, NARD gives districts a collective voice so they may be adequately represented on both state and federal levels.
