American Linden
American Linden, also known as American Basswood,
is native to eastern Nebraska and does best in rich,
moist woodlands and along river bottoms. The tree is
a fast growing tree and its soft wood is often used for
carving, while its inner bark can be used to make rope
for weaving.
It’s very fragrant flowers bloom in early summer and is
a great shade tree.
