Central Platte Natural Resources District to Hold Public Hearing for 2016 Fiscal Budget
(GRAND ISLAND, NE) The Central Platte Natural Resources District's board of directors will hold a public hearing at 1:45 p.m., just prior to their regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the CPNRD office, 215 Kaufman Avenue in Grand Island, NE. The board meeting will follow at 2:00 p.m.
OTHER AGENDA ITEMS:
-Budget- The board will need to take action to adopt the proposed budget of expenditures or amended budget after the public hearing has been closed.
-NRCS Report- James Huntwork, USDA-NRCS district liaison, and Teri Edeal, resource conservationist, will report to the board.
-Clean Community System Request- Denise McGovern-Gallagher, executive director of the Grand Island Area Clean Community System, will request funding towards a paint can crusher for the facility.
-Water Quality Subcommittee- The committee will review Nitrogen management data and discuss a proposed web-based approach for crop reporting forms.
-Hazard Mitigation- Jesse Mintken, projects manager, will review and have a recommendation on updating the NRD's Hazard Mitigation Plan.
-ATV Bids- David Carr, range management specialist, will have a report and recommendation on bids for the NRD's 2009 Yamaha Grizzly 550 ATV.
-Cost Share- The board will consider cost share requests by landowners.
-Board Orientation- Jesse Mintken and Dianne Miller will give presentations to the board on their job duties and responsibilities.
