(GRAND ISLAND, NE) The Central Platte Natural Resources District's board of directors will be updated on the District's static groundwater levels and irrigation canal diversions at their regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, June 25, 2015. The meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the CPNRD office, 215 Kaufman Avenue in Grand Island, NE.

OTHER AGENDA ITEMS:
-Budget- The board will need to take action to adopt the proposed budget of expenditures for the purpose of holding a public hearing. The public hearing will be held just prior to the July 23rd board meeting.
-Water Quality Committee- The committee will discuss: 
-Possible new groundwater quality management areas.
-Groundwater samples.
-Possible rules and regulation changes.
-Eastern Projects Committee- The committee will discuss and have a recommendation on an amendment to the Upper Prairie/Silver/Moores Flood Control Project contract.
-Programs Committee- The committee will review and have a recommendation on an Outdoor Classroom application from Grand Island Senior High School.
-Water Resources Committee- The committee will receive updates on the following:
-Diversions- Duane Woodward, hydrologist, will report on the amount of flood waters being diverted down the Dawson County canals.
-Headwaters response to Loyd Luehr's ice jam concerns that were presented to the board in March.
-Water Quality Committee report and possible recommendations.
-NRCS Report- James Huntwork, USDA-NRCS district liaison, will report to the board. 
-Platte River Recovery Implementation Program- Mark Czaplewski, biologist, will have an update on the Program
-Cost Share- The board will consider cost share requests by landowners.
-Tree Report- Kelly Cole, programs coordinator, will report on the District's 2015 tree and weed barrier sales.
-Basin Tour- Marcia Lee, information/education specialist, will report on the NARD basin tour, which included a tour of CPNRD's irrigation canal rehabilitations. 
-Board Orientation- Sandy Noecker and Shane Max will give presentations to the board on their job duties and responsibilities.
