Central Platte Natural Resources District Board to Hear Update on Cease and Desist
(GRAND ISLAND, NE) The Central Platte Natural Resources District's board of directors will hear an update on the Cease & Desist Order that was issued to Lee and Terry Spradlin of Dawson County at their regularly scheduled meeting on May 28, 2015. The Spradlins' were out of compliance with the CPNRD's Rules and Regulations and were issued the Cease & Desist Order at the April board of directors meeting. The May board meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at the Central Platte NRD office located at 215 Kaufman Avenue in Grand Island, NE.
OTHER AGENDA ITEMS:
-Cooperative Hydrology Study- Duane Woodward, hydrologist, will give an update on COHYST.
-Fiscal 2016 Budget- The Eastern Projects, Western Projects and Budget committees will meet to discuss Fiscal 2016 budget requests.
-Flood Diversions- Jesse Mintken, projects manager, will report on the amount of flood waters being diverted down the Dawson County canals.
-NRCS- James Huntwork, USDA-NRCS district liaison, will report on the signup deadline and cost share details for the newly acquired funding through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP).
-Legislation- Mark Czaplewski, biologist, will have an update on legislative bills dealing with natural resources.
-Cost Share- The board will consider cost share requests by landowners.
-Board Orientation- David Carr and Mark Czaplewski will give presentations to the board on their job duties and responsibilities.
