North Platte NRD Honors Late Board Member

The North Platte Natural Resources District board of directors, staff, family and friends were on hand to witness the name of the North Platte NRD’s education room after past Board Director Gerald Dillman.  The Board of Directors authorized the room for dedication at the February Board meeting, after the news of Dillman’s passing in January.   A portrait of Jerry is displayed in the room

Dillman has been involved with water and education all of his life.  He was elected to the NRD Board of Directors in 1999, and he provided a wealth of information on the history of the water system and was highly respected by both his fellow directors and NRD staff.  

General Manager John Berge reflects how much Dillman meant to the NRD and to this valley.  “Jerry Dillman was a tireless advocate for agriculture and other water interests in this valley.  He was a well-respected leader across the state, and the first Chairman of the Board that I ever worked with at the NRD.  This tribute is a way that we can say thanks and honor our friend and leader.”

The Gerald Dillman Education Room will host trainings, meetings, staff gatherings, and other events to help further Jerry’s passion for preserving our precious water resources.
