The position of Summer Field Employee is an occasional position with the Nemaha Natural Resources District (District) and operates out of its headquarters located at Tecumseh, Nebraska. The position qualifies as “non-exempt status” as defined in the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.

Specific Duties:

• Assist field team members with operation and maintenance of District watershed structures.
• Assist field team members with District tree planting program.
• Assist field team members with maintenance of District recreational areas.
• Assist field team members with maintenance of District headquarters, shop, equipment, and vehicles.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Employment Period:
The period of employment for this position is generally from mid-May through mid-August but is flexible based on the schedule of the interested applicant.

Compensation:
Compensation for the 2024 employment period will be $15/hour. This position is not eligible for benefits. Normal work hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older and capable of performing manual labor in an outdoor environment. Interested applicants must also possess a valid driver’s license.
