Lower Loup NRD Launches New Website

Loup Lines Column by Alan Bartels, Lower Loup NRD Information & Education Coordinator

In my opinion, most of you reading this probably are not suffering from lack of information. If you are like me, you have a near constant barrage of calls, texts, social media messages, and emails pinging the electronic devices we seem to be tethered to.

These additional options for connecting can be good, but ultimately many of us get to the point where we miss (or blatantly avoid) these attempts to reach us. Unfortunately, when that happens, we can end up missing important information that we do want to see – or more importantly – need to see.

At the Lower Loup NRD, we have no interest in adding to the unwanted rings, dings, beeps, and buzzing sounding off from your smartphone, laptop, PC, watch, tablet, or other device. But we do have a new way for YOU to get the information YOU need, whenever YOU want it – the brand new www.LLNRD.org website.

Our old website served the constituents of our District faithfully for more than a decade. The new site incorporates technological advancements made in recent years to provide website visitors with an easier, improved user-friendly experience.

Brant Bechtold, the LLNRD Information Specialist who worked with the web development company to produce the site, hopes our website users will be excited about the site’s new Resource Browser (because let me tell you – he sure is).

Located at the top right of the home page and every page, the Resource Browser allows website visitors to search by category or by entering keywords. Website visitors can also learn about our board members and the area each one represents; find forms, maps, and publications; learn about proposed rule changes and new rules, dates and times for meetings and hearings; discover the latest on LLLNRD recreation areas and educational events; access Crop Water Use reports, read board meeting minutes and meeting agendas, and a whole lot more.

In fact, the LLNRD.org website is a one-stop virtual shop for everything related to the Lower Loup NRD. I invite you to take a self-guided tour of the website for yourself.

Intuitive navigation menus throughout the website allow visitors to get to desired web pages with ease. A scrolling headline at the top of the page is updated with the very latest news and time-sensitive information that our constituents need to know.

Again, the site is brand-spanking new, but the address remains the same, www.LLNRD.org.
